Resumo (PT): É tendo por objetivo comprovar a interdisciplinaridade da arquitetura, bem como, a exploração das debilidades do Homem, e o consequente desenfrear dos sentidos, presente na obra de Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Lucio Fontana, Le Corbusier, Luis Barragán, Kazuo Shinohara, Alfred Hitchcock, Michelangelo Antonioni e Krzysztof Kieślowski, que se acorre à cor, como elemento base da criação e condutor entre épocas e artes. Estudam-se, por isso, os nomes por detrás das obras, as obras por detrás dos nomes, fazendo-se surgir a importância da plasticidade e da composição, a relevância da emoção, e a pertinência da estrutura, assim como, “as motivações, as ideias, as circunstâncias e as eventualidades”1 que põem em “marcha o desejo e o trabalho”2 de uma pintura, de um edifício ou de um filme. Esta dissertação trata-se, assim, de um deambular submergido num mundo de cor, sem rumo certo. Um caminhar sem destino, numa procura constante e difusa entre o outro e o eu. Porque a arquitetura não é apenas o “jogo sábio, correto e magnífico dos volumes dispostos sob a luz”3, a “intensidade da emoção provocada”4 ou o combate “ativo no campo da justiça social”5, é muito mais, e tudo isso.

Abstract (EN): It is in order to prove the interdisciplinarity of architecture, as well as the exploration of the Iweaknesses of Man, and the consequent unbridling of the senses, present in the work of Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Lucio Fontana, Le Corbusier, Luis Barragán, Kazuo Shinohara, Alfred Hitchcock, Michelangelo Antonioni and Krzysztof Kieślowski, that we use color as a basic element of creation and a conductor between times and arts. Therefore, we study the names behind the works, the works behind the names, showing, in this way, the importance of plasticity and composition, the pertinence of emotion, and the relevance of the structure, as well as “the motivations, the ideas, circumstances and happenstance”1 that “set in motion the desire"2 to make a painting, a building or a film. This dissertation it is, therefore, a wandering submerged in a world of color, with no right direction. A walk without a destination, in a constant and diffuse search between the other and the self. Because architecture is not just the “wise, correct and magnificent game of volumes arranged under the light”3, the “intensity of the emotion provoked”4 or the “active fight in the field of social justice”5 is much more, and all that.
