Admission requirements
The following may apply for a cycle of studies leading to a Master's degree:
a) Holders of a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent;
b) Holders of a foreign higher education degree awarded after a first cycle of studies structured in accordance with the Bologna Process by a State that implemented this process;
c) Holders of a foreign higher education degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of a Bachelor's degree by the statutory competent scientific body.
d) Those with an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to carry out the cycle of studies by the statutory competent scientific body.

Documents Required
- Graduation certificate of a higher education degree (mandatory); *
- Curriculum vitae (mandatory);
- ID document (Citizen Card /ID Card / Passport) or declaration containing the identification data (mandatory);
- Portfolio (mandatory);
- Letter supporting the application.
*Important notes:
- If the graduation certificate (Bachelor’s Degree Certificate) does not have final quantitative average, it is necessary to attach a statement from the institution with this information (it may be the transcript of records).
- When providing foreign documentation or documentation issued in a foreign country during the application process, the applicant must submit a copy of the original documents authenticated by the official education services of that country and recognised by a diplomatic or consular Portuguese authority or, in the case of countries that have adhered to the Hague Convention, with the Apostille of the Hague Convention.
- Applicants who do not send documents / certificates issued in a foreign country, legalized through the Hague Apostille or diplomatic/consular Portuguese authority /or do not present the original documents, cannot complete registration. The deadline for submitting legalized documents is 24/05/2024).
Fees
Application is subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee of 55 euros.
- Only applications paid by the deadline (05/04/2024) will be considered.
- Applicants who make the payment outside Portugal, should be aware that the payment of the application must be processed by the Faculty until the deadline for payment.
- Payment of the application fee can be paid by ATM (Portuguese accounts), PayPal (international accounts) or in person at the FBAUP Treasury.

Glossary
1 – Full-time student
Student who registers up for more than 37,5 ECTS credit and a maximum of 60 ECTS in a particular study cycle.
Student who signs up to a maximum of 37,5 ECTS, in a particular study cycle.
Note: The frequency regime (full-time or part-time) is selected at the time of registration, and cannot be changed later.
According to the University of Porto regulation and Portugal law:
“1 — For the purposes presented in this decree, an international student is a student who does not hold Portuguese nationality.
