The Degree in Painting has a length of 5 years and includes theoretical, theoretical-practical and practical classes. While the first three years of the degree are dedicated to basic training, the last two years are made of workshops directed by teachers, where each student should develop their personal research project within the scope of the core course unit of the degree, Workshop (Atelier) I and Workshop (Atelier) II, respectively in the 4th and 5th years.
Student registration is based in the system of credit units. All course units are annual except Geometry I and Geometry II, which are 1st year course units and are taught on a semestral basis. All course units are compulsory except in the 4th and 5th years where students may choose from two optional course units (Technologies) within the scope of their individual research project. These course units may contribute to a broader research.
