The Degree in Communication Design/Graphic Art has a length of 5 years. Since the first three years are mostly the same as the other Fine Arts Degrees, emphasis is given to some course units, such as Drawing, Figure Drawing, Geometry, History of Art, Aesthetics, etc.
Student registration is based in the system of credit units. All course units are annual except Geometry I and Geometry II, which are 1st year course units and are taught on a semestral basis.
The main core of the degree is the project course unit, which is developed all along the five years for 12 hours per week. Most of the information, critical analysis, experimental and project activities. Over the last two years the use of other media and contents is wider, including video and photography. The 5th year is dedicated mostly to an introduction to research, where stress is given to the exploration and experimentation of the action of regarding/understanding/using design presently.
