Description: A formação oferecida pela FDCE é de natureza teórico-prática, colocando uma ênfase especial na capacitação prática dos formandos. Foca-se em responder às necessidades de comunicação interna e externa das instituições públicas e privadas, entidades culturais contemporâneas (fortalecendo a sua presença e impacto no mercado) e centros de investigação (otimizando a comunicação entre os pesquisadores e o público) nos diferentes formatos e plataformas de media atuais.

Courses Units

Creating impactful graphical presentations

CAGI_FDCE - ECTS General:

The training offered by FDCE is of a theoretical-practical nature, with a special emphasis on the practical empowerment of the trainees. It focuses on addressing the internal and external communication needs of public and private institutions, contemporary cultural entities (strengthening their presence and impact in the market), and research centers (optimizing communication between researchers and the public) across various current media formats and platforms.

The individual characteristics and needs of each trainee will be taken into account, guiding them in the use of specific software for the management, editing, composition, and publication of content in the context of graphic presentations. This includes creating communication (static or interactive) in the format of a publication for social networks, slideshow presentations, graphical abstracts, or scientific posters.

In a comprehensive manner, trainees will be able to coordinate and strengthen strategies and resources in the design and production of editorial projects, encompassing both print and digital formats. This design-oriented approach aims for the effective management of projects and teams.

Module 1 specifics:

Empower trainees to create high-quality, impactful, clear, and concise presentations to complement the information presented in both internal and external communications; Provide visual summaries and infographics as part of content marketing and science communication strategy (graphical abstracts and scientific posters) to convey ideas and concepts, not only in presentations for board meetings, annual reports, internal staff training, seminars, and conferences; Acquire basic knowledge of practical use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe tools.

Fundamentals of graphic design and effective visual communication

FDGCVE_FDCE - ECTS General:
To equip the trainees with visual literacy and graphic design and communication skills, in the different technical and theoretical aspects to meet the internal and external communication needs of public and private institutions, or contemporary cultural entities, in the different formats and media platforms; to introduce the trainees to the use of specific software for editing, composing and publishing content.

Module 2 specifics:
To equip the trainees with a set of fundamental strategies of the visual language of communication design; to train the trainees in the use of the main digital tools of desktop publishing; to generate innovative solutions to current problems or challenges of cornunication; creation of innovative and speculative communication solutions that promote a current communication of excellence.
