Printing techniques II aims to promote and consolidate the processes started on the first level. Appreciates the need to focus in the contemporary artistic practice of printmaking, sharing space where you can continue to introduce and deepen the technical capabilities and procedures related to the procedures of printing. In more specific terms, students should work on experimental and creative aspects that assist the production of the picture in its various technologies (techniques of relief, intaglio, silkscreen and lithography), investigating and testing ideas and principles, methods and formats, redefining themselves through their practice and especially by broadening their instrumental possibilities.

The consolidation of the practice we mean an always professional approach and informed by long tradition and as such will require that the student has the motivation to work in accordance with the scheduled classroom sessions as well as being responsible for managing the time needed to develop an investigation under demanding nature workshop Atelier / Workshop.

The evidence produced must be performed according to the criteria of quality and presentation to assist the production of graphic work in a professional context and where appropriate work should be edited.

At the end of the semester students present their individual project based on the use of printing techniques before the class, the theoretical context and methodological course underlying the practice of printmaking .

At the end of the course the student will have to be complied with:
- Frequency of demonstrations on techniques and procedures related complementary to initial training
- Production of a portfolio of prints which demonstrate his mastery of the methods introduced and agreement of them with a personal investigation
- Development of an individual project and consistent with the appropriate means, monitored and guided by the teacher responsible for the curricular unit
- Developing skills to work independently or in a collaboration in order to continue its practice of producing and editing work after training

Learning outcomes:
- Acquiring and developing the skills and technical knowledge, conceptual references to the work of editing and production of multiples.
- Identify, develop and consolidate knowledge about the techniques and etching processes best suited to your work
- Learn how to maximize use of available equipment and time in the workshops, participating actively in the environment of sharing and interdependence desirable in printmaking workshop
- Develop skills in editing and production of multiple, presentation and time management, resources and equipment workshops for the implementation of the project personal or collective
- Identify clearly the authors, processes, and issues relevant to their own work

Presentation, discussion and implementation of a collective project and an individual research project, where the objectives are specified for reflection and possible production of graphic discourse.
Preparation of a project / individual plan of research / work
Actions tutorials individualized guidance and critique the different types of research produced.
Theoretical and practical lessons with demonstrations scheduled practices and the implementation, development and operation of processes deemed appropriate to the context of the research group or requested by the student.
Individual presentation of the project report and documentation of the work plan.
Analysis, criticism and evaluation of results.
Will be study visits to exhibitions and places of interest for the discipline and is still open to participate in seminars, workshops, usually organized by area.

.

Calculation formula of final grade

Will assess the capacity to achieve collective and individual projects, developed from a program of work presented orally
Will assess the ability to perform project-as well as the quantity and quality of theoretical and technological resources that each student use in their work plan
Will be assessed points of discussion on projects valuing perspective of methodology, and its processes, not just the final product, even if they occur on state tests and test series closely monitored and followed
Will assess the ability to integrate new research and technological enrichment capability made possible through dialogue with the teacher and student integration of a multidisciplinary team, a "simulation" research studio editing
Attendance will be evaluated, integrity and accountability of students, compared to the smooth running of the workshop and its resources, and compliance with the deadlines previously established that they meet

Examinations or Special Assignments

Editing projects are planned in the workshop, attended by visiting researchers. Students will be integrated in professional practice and will be evaluated for their contribution to production.
