Resumo (PT): A prática do desporto está consagrada constitucionalmente como um direito de todos. Os municípios, pelas suas obrigações legais, são entidades privilegiadas para satisfazer a necessidade dos diversos tipos de população. O presente Relatório foi fruto do estágio profissionalizante desenvolvido no 2.º ano do 2.º Ciclo do Curso de Gestão Desportiva. O referido estágio foi realizado na Câmara Municipal de Ovar, na Divisão de Cultura e Desporto, tendo tido um enfoque predominante na gestão da Piscina Municipal de Ovar (PMO), tanto na área de gestão de instalações, como na gestão de eventos. O Relatório inclui cinco grandes capítulos após a introdução, começando pelas motivações, expectativas iniciais, bem como os objetivos e o plano do estágio. Segue-se uma contextualização através da revisão da literatura sobre matérias concetuais e temas específicos relacionados com as áreas de intervenção no estágio. Os capítulos seguintes caraterizam a entidade acolhedora do estágio e a descrição das atividades desenvolvidas. Por fim, termina com a reflexão crítica às atividades realizadas e as principais conclusões. O trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio permitiu o adquirir de competências e conhecimentos com especial destaque no domínio da gestão de instalações, e de eventos realizados na PMO. Desta realidade derivou a iniciativa da estagiária em fazer uma sugestão de realização de um evento desportivo na instalação referida. Concluindo, a realização do estágio foi bastante profícua para a formação e solidificação de competências da estagiária que passou a ter um entendimento mais concreto e sistémico da atividade de um gestor do desporto.

Abstract (EN): The practice of sport is constitutionally enshrined as a right for all. So, it must be accessible to all. Municipalities, due to their legal obligations, are privileged entities to satisfy the needs of diferente types of population. This report was the result of an internship developed in the second year of the second Cycle in Sports Management. It was carried in the city council of Ovar, in the Division of Culture and Sport. The internship was fundamentally focused in managing aspects about the municipal pool, such as the area of instalations management and managing events. The document contains five parts, after the introduction it starts with the motivations, inicial expectations, as well as the purposes and the internship plan. Then is followed by a contextualization through literature review about the topics adressed at the internship, such as: the concept of sport, sports at municipality and planing sports events. The next chapters caracterizes the internship entity and the description of the activities developed. Finally, a critical reflexion to all the activities developed and the principal conclusions. All the work done throughout the time of the internship allowed the aquisition of competences and knowledge with a particular prominence in the area of instalations management and events carried out on the Ovar Municipal Pool. With this reality, the intern had the iniciative of making a sugestion on the realization of a sport event in the refered installation. In conclusion, the internship was pretty positive to develop and solidificate some competences of the inter, who started to have a better, concrete and systematic understandig about the activity of a sport manager.
