Abstract (EN): High resolution U-Pb (SHRIMP) and Sm-Nd geochronological analysis in zircon grains were obtained in a biotite orthogneis from the ¿Foz do Douro Metamorphic Complex¿. The UPb results revealed an emplacement age of 452-456 ± 7.8 Ma and an inherited age of 1735 ± 70 Ma. The Sm-Nd whole rock isotopic data suggests a model age (T<inf>DM</inf>) of ca. 500 Ma and the ¿<inf>Nd</inf>=+6.88 confirms a mantle contribution for the original magmatic rock. © 2014 LNEG ¿ Laboratório Nacional de Geologia e Energia IP.
