Abstract (EN):
Panasqueira W-Sn deposit, located in the Province of Beira Baixa in Central Portugal, is the largest quartz-vein type deposit in Europe. New fluid inclusion studies and Cl/Br data, show there to be differences between the generations of quartz (barren and mineralised) and between the ore minerals cassiterite and wolframite. There is no evidence for a significant magmatic fluid component but the possibility of fluid mixing is supported.
