Fórum do Porto | Património, Cidade, Arquitectura
November 20 + 21, 2017, Soares dos Reis National Museum - Porto
More than twenty years since the inclusion of the Historic Center of Porto in the World Heritage List in 1996, the city of Porto presents itself as a stimulating starting point for a broader discussion including other national and international cases.
In this context, the “Porto Forum | Heritage, City, Architecture”, will present and discuss applications of the Recommendation on “Historic Urban Landscapes” (UNESCO, 2011), reflections on the Management of the Classified Heritage in Portugal and the Instruments of Safeguarding the Cultural Heritage, as well as examples of interventions in Built Heritage in the city of Porto. The different roundtables propose a discussion that is intended to be shared by researchers, municipal technicians, managers, professionals or students interested in a constructive debate on the sustainable safeguarding of cities with significant cultural heritage, such as Porto.
The “Porto Forum | Heritage, City, Architecture” 'is an organization of the Group “Património da Arquitectura, da Cidade e do Território” (PACT) of the Centro de Estudos de Arquitectura e Urbanismo (CEAU) of FAUP.
