Carolina Leite was born in Oporto, Portugal, in 1988. Has a Master degree in architecture from the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP -2012), having studied at the Facoltà di Architettura della Università di Roma Tre under the Erasmus program (2010).
In Oporto, she worked with CCCB and Álvaro Siza architects and in Berlin with Hoidn Wang Partner.
She is a Phd student and researcher at the Centro de Estudos de Arquitectura e Urbanismo (CEAU-FAUP), ATPH group. She was awarded a FCT scholarship to developed her Phd Thesis on the subject “Porto, urban landscape and edification - Rehabi(lita)ting the historic city. Preserve, invent, modify. Time and intervention, displacement and form, permanence and project. 1909-62 | 2000-19” advised by Professor Manuel Mendes and Nuno Valentim as co-adviser
Together with Ricardo Mendes she is cofounder of Krafna, an architectural collective based in Oporto.
