Caroline Beatriz Picolo is master in architecture by UniRitter of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in association with Mackenzie Presbiteryan University of São Paulo, Brazil (2016). The master thesis developed in this program have the title “The Project of UniRitter´s FAU: proposals and transformations (1977-2015)”.
Since 2017 is a student on the PhD Program in Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture of the Oporto University, Portugal (PDA-FAUP), where she has been developing the doctoral dissertation “The Campo de Santiago project of the Aveiro University. 1973-2020. Relations Between public space and architectures”. The thesis advisors are the PhD Professor José Alberto Abreu Lage (PDA-FAUP) and the PhD Professor Sérgio Moacir Marques (UFRGS –Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul –, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil).
She colaborates in the Architecture and Urbanismo Research Center of the Faculty of Architecture of the Oporto University (CEAU-FAUP) in the group Architecture: Teory, Project and History (ATPH).
Research interests: design methods and strategies, educational campus plans, universitary buildings and structures, colonial architecture in Brazil, cisplatin architecture.
