More than Housing: Freedom, Pluralism, Prospective

| Description: | April 8 - 25, 2024 Celebrating 50 years since April 25th revolution led FAUP to launch the 'More than Houses' initiative, running since April 2023. Internally at FAUP, it materializes as a Continuous Training Unit with a single edition, to be held over three weeks, from April 8 to 25, 2024, with normal classes suspended during the same period. Organized in vertical groups - with students from all years and teachers from different areas -, it seeks to develop dialogue and debate, explore methods and work processes, test approaches to physical and social reality, in all themes related to architecture and the city, from the approach of a set of problem areas in the city of Porto. It is aimed at MiArq students, but also open to other UP students, and even alumni, granting 3 ETCS. In parallel with the Continuing Training Unit, a series of events are planned (Music, cinema, conferences...). |
