Objectives

The course intends to make the students conversant with contemporary architecture theory, understood in a broad temporal arch encompassing the twentieth and the twenty-first centuries. It should convey the analytical skills necessary for a material and technological analysis of books as well as the critical skills necessary to frame the ambitions and the positions of contemporary titles and the relevance and currency of older ones.

Learning outcomes and competences

Understood as places of emergence and proliferation of architecture theory, we will question the titles in the syllabus both as material objects as well as epicenters of much wider disciplinary earthquakes, nodal points that render vast polemics.
