Resumo (PT): Este trabalho constitui um recorte de uma investigação mais ampla que discute o ativismo estético-político e o papel da música nas formas de expressão das lutas pela igualdade. Nesse sentido, no âmbito deste artigo discute-se as relações entre a música e o ativismo estético-politico, a partir de um olhar sobre percursos singulares de duas mulheres músicas ativistas. Assim, busca-se compreender a natureza dos processos, os signifi cados e as representações existentes nos caminhos percorridos, a fim de refletir em que medida a música influencia os processos de emancipação social e sobre quais as configurações de ativismo estético-político são permeadas por processos identitários diversos. Trata-se de um estudo de caso, com uma abordagem qualitativa, baseado nas experiências de duas mulheres artistas brasileiras, a partir da perspetiva teórico-metodológica de histórias de vida. Os resultados mostram-nos que o percurso das entrevistadas tem sido pautado por diversas formas e dinâmicas de subversão e de resistência, que se inscrevem dentro de um contexto desigualitário do Sul Global, onde tendem a prevalecer as desigualdades e as dominações estruturais da masculinidade e do patriarcado.

Abstract (EN): This work constitutes itself as a part of a wider investigation that discusses aesthetic-political activism and the role of music in the forms of expression of the struggles for equality. In this sense, this article discusses the relationships between music and aesthetic-political activism, from a look of the singular paths of two women who are activists and musicians. Thus, we seek to understand the nature of the processes, the meanings and representations existing in the paths taken, in order to refl ect on the extent to which music infl uences the processes of social emancipation and on which confi gurations of aesthetic-political activism are permeated by diverse identity processes. This is a case study, with a qualitative approach, based on the experiences of two Brazilian women artists, from the theoretical-methodological perspective of life stories. The results show us that the path of the interviewees has been marked by various forms and dynamics of subversion and resistance that are inscribed within an unequal context of the Global South, where inequalities and the structural domination of masculinity and patriarchy tend to prevail.
