Resumo (PT): O artigo que aqui se apresenta reflete sobre os modos de fazer do Arquivo Poético Portuense, enquanto lugar de preservação de imagens do património gráfico da cidade e cujo desígnio é inspirar a criação de novas narrativas. O projeto de um arquivo aberto e em permanente atualização, que privilegia o sentido e registado de modo poético, justifica-se pelo potencial de criação de narrativas promotoras de representações alternativas. Este estudo parte de uma abordagem de caráter etnográfico que convida os designers a registar as imagens que são, para si, mais significantes. Assume-se, portanto, que se trata de um processo subjetivo e singular, que parte de uma observação poética da paisagem pelo designer, registando os elementos que aí sobressaem como configuradores de novos sentidos. A reflexão sobre os procedimentos presentes na construção deste arquivo permite a sistematização de princípios orientadores, que legitimam o olhar poético do designer na identificação de um património gráfico presente na paisagem e potenciador de outras narrativas.

Abstract (EN): The paper presented here reflects on the ways of making the Oporto’s poetic archive, as a place of preservation of images of the city’s graphic heritage and whose purpose is to inspire the creation of new narratives. The project of an open and permanently updated archive, that privileges the poetic’s sensed and the registered way, is justified by the potential of creating narratives that promote alternative representations. This study is based on an ethnographic approach that invites designers to record the images that are, to them, more significant. It is assumed, therefore, that it is a subjective and singular process, starting from a poetic observation of the landscape by the designer, recording the elements that stand out as configurators of new senses. The reflection on the procedures present in the construction of this archive allows the systematization of guiding principles, which legitimize the poetic look of the designer in the identification of a graphic heritage present in the landscape and enhancer of other narratives.
