This open class is presented in the framework of the curricular unit Architectural Design 4 and will be held online (zoom), with reserved access to the FAUP's academic community.
Gesine Weinmiller was born in 1963 in Konstanz. After her studies in Munich she worked for Prof. Hans Kollhoff in Berlin. 1991.-1992 Assistance at the ETH in Zurich for Flora Ruchat-Roncati. Since 1992 she runs her own office. The most important competitions are: the second prizes for the 'Rebuilding of the Reichstag as the seat of the German Bundestag' and the competition for the 'Memorial for the assassinated European jews'. She built the Federal Labour court in Erfurt, the official Residence of the Federal Cancellor in Berlin. At the moment she builds a law court in Leipzig and the embassy of Baden-Württemberg in Brussels. For her work she got the “German concrete award” and the “German stone award” and many further prizes. She teaches as a professor in Hamburg since 2000. She has 3 children and lives with her husband in Berlin.
