Architect and Urban Designer with Bachelor from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP, 2006), with an academic exchange period at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP, 2004-5).
He holds a PhD in Architecture, Technology and Urban Design from the University of Campinas (ATC/Unicamp, 2018), developing research visits at the Polytechnic of Turin with a merit-based scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, 2012-2014; 2015-2017; 2017). He also holds a Master from ATC/Unicamp Program awarded in 2012, which dissertation received an honourable mention at the 2014 Brazilian National Research on Architecture and Urban Design Association Awards (ANPARQ). He is also specialised in Theory and Practice of Preservation and Restoration of Architectural and Urban Heritage by the Catholic University of Santos (Unisantos, 2008).
He has worked as a Lecturer at the Architecture and Urbanism Course of the Grande ABC University (UniABC, 2012-13) and as an Associate Professor, level 1, in the chair of Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism (field area of Theory and Practice of Intervention at Cultural Heritage) in the undergraduation course of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), from 2018 to 2024, also collaborating with the Graduation Program of Archeology (PROARQ) from 2018 to 2022.
Since 2022, he is a member and collaborates with the UNESCO Chair "Heritage, Cities and Landscapes. Sustainable Management, Conservation, Planning and Design", hosted at FAUP. From 2022 to 2024, he developed a post-doctoral research project as a visiting researcher at the Center of Studies of Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) at the Heritage of Architecture, City and Territory (PACT), partially financed by a grant from the Fundação BPI/La Caixa. Since 2024, he works as an Assistant Researcher with a contract provided by the 6h Scientific Employment Stymulus Call and granted through a merit-based selection from the Foundation of Science and Technology (FCT).
He is an expert member of ICOMOS International - Scientific Committee on Education and Training (ICOMOS/CIF) and is a member of ICOMOS CIPA Emerging Professionals (ICOMOS/CIPA-EP). He was an UFS representative at the PHI Brazil University Network from 2018 to 2024 and a member of ICOMOS Brazil from 2020 to 2023. Since 2024, he is a member of ICOMOS Portugal. He is also associated with ANPARQ since 2014, which he had also represented it at the Entities' Forum for the Defense of Brazilian Cultural Heritage at the State of Sergipe, when he coordinated it, from 2020 to 2022.
