Historian by the Faculty of Arts of the UP. Researcher - active member of CEAU-FAUP/FCT (Center for Architecture and Urban Studies), group PACT (Heritage Architecture, City and Territory) and group AMH (Architecture and modes of inhabiting). First Assistant Professor of Architect Fernando Távora to the discipline of Theory and History of Architecture (1980) of ESBAP (School of Architecture of Porto), always assistant of  Professor Fernando Tavora in her teaching, particularly in the discipline of General Theory of Organization of Space (TGOE), at FAUP (Faculty of Architecture, Oporto University). Lecturer in the areas of History of Architecture and Town, Regent of the courses of HAAM (History of Ancient and Medieval Architecture, 1st Cycle, 2nd Year of MIARQ) and Theories Rehabilitation of the City (the CEAPA - Course of Advanced Studies in Architectural Heritage - 3rd cycle) in the academic year 2011-12. Doctorate with Distinction by the Faculty of Arts of the UP in 2013 with the dissertation " Recentrocidade. Memory and Urban Refoundation. Territory. Town. Architecture ". Regent of the courses of HAAM (1st Cycle, 1s Year, of MIARQ) and HCP (History of the City of Porto -  2nd Cycle, 5th Year, of MIARQ) in the current academic year (2013-2014). He joined the Organizing Committee of the IV SLBCH ( Luso - Brazilian Symposium of Historical Cartography (Porto , 2011) .

He joined the Scientific Committee of " I Philanthropy Conference and Architecture - Period 1880-1920 ." CITAD - Lusiada University ( Lisbon 2012) .
