Objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to
- Apply adequately the main concepts related to the school organizational culture ;
- Identify and analyze multiple cultural configurations of the school as an organization;
- To perspective future interventions in intermediate management structures;
- To develop a critical analysis of the research about the school's organizational culture and school effectiveness;
- Challenging the cultural and symbolic framework of autonomy in school management and the goals and evaluation models of the Portuguese education system;
- To develop proposals for activities following the school's identity project.

Shows a critical capacity and a professional intervention concerning school management.
Discusses cultural and symbolic framework of pedagogical autonomy in school management.
