Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of the CU, students should:
- Understand the relationship between physical (in)activity, physical exercise, health,prevention and treatment of chronic diseases,
- Frame their area of expertise in a multidisciplinary context;
- Understand the assumptions related to the grading of scientific evidence and its importance to guide safe and effective interventions;
- Understand the synergy between physical exercise and pharmacological treatment and its repercussions for the prescription of physical exercise;
- Acquire the general knowledge and skills for assessing the state of readiness for physical exercise, for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention with physical exercise;
- Be able to identify the stages of behavior change and assesses motivation and readiness for change
- Know how to identify and eliminate barriers for physical exercise and be able to implement strategies to maintain behavioral change.

Eligibility for exams
Approval to the curricular unit will be obtained with a grade equal to or greater than 9.5, which will be achieved throught attendance (at least 75% of classes) and a final exam.
Failure to pass the distributed assessment will result in an appeal exam (100% of the final grade), at the end of the semester, during the period defined for that purpose.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final classification (normal season): 1* final exam
Final classification (appeal season): 1* final exam
Classification improvement
The exam at the time of appeal to obtain approval or improvement of classification will be in the format of an "oral test".
