Objectives

To provide high specialized formation, concerning the specific issues of training and competition in top level Soccer.

To cultivate specific Soccer areas of reflection, by stimulating the scientific curiosity of the students and promoting their culture and research skills.

Learning outcomes and competences

The content of the curricular unit MS-S focuses on issues arising from the training process and competition in top level Soccer, relying on the knowledge provided by scientific research. Hence the choice of the blocks of matter mentioned in the previous section, i.e.:

Research in top level Soccer;

Soccer expertise and decision making;

Performance analysis in top levelSoccer;

The season organization in top level Soccer.

Teaching methods and learning activities

A mixed methodology is used, linking the lecture method, supported in author works and realistic  situations, with interactive lessons based on document analysis and presentation of topics by the students. In both situations different types of work will be requested: individual, group and extended debate.

- At least, 75% attendance in the classes;
- Minimum 10 points in requested works.

(PP+2xTC+7xTE)/10

Note:
For the students in special regime the formula will be: (TC+5xTE)/6

Examinations or Special Assignments

Reflection and discussion on topics related to the analysis and evaluation of high performance.

Internship work/project

Each student should present a work concerning contents related to performance in high performance football, according to a topic to be chosen, taking into account the future framing of the dissertation or the internship report, depending on the case.
