Objectives

The student must learn to identify and appropriately use anatomical nomenclature. The student must also learn to observe, to identify, to differentiate, to describe, to enumerate and to systematize from the analytical description of the human body. The student must understand the morphological foundations of human movement in a functional perspective.

Learning outcomes and competences

In view of the stated objectives and the contents taught in the course, students must master and know how to correctly apply anatomical nomenclature.

They should also, based on the analytical study carried out, be able to recognize and name the main anatomical structures, this at muscular, bone and articular level.

Given the functional nature of the UC in question, the student must acquire, master and possess a vision of human movement in a dynamic perspective and not merely static.

Approval in the discipline by means of a final exam performed in the respective regular seasons (1st and/or 2nd), according to the FADEUP evaluation standards rules issued by the Faculty Pedagogical Board.

Calculation formula of final grade

The approval in the discipline in both regular seasons (1st  from 3/1 to 1/2 and 2nd from 20/5 to 21/6/2020) can be achieved through a final examination, in accordance with the evaluation rules defined by FADEUP’s Pedagogical Council. To be approved at the 1st season students should conduct a final exam in which they must get a score equal or above 9.5. If they do not get a positive grade, they can attain a 2nd examination in which they also need to obtain a minimum of 9.5. The final grade will be rounded till the units.

Examinations or Special Assignments

There are no alternatives to replace the final examination.

Internship work/project

Not considered.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

In according to the FADEUP rules of evaluation issued by the Pedagogical Board.

Classification improvement

The improvement of the final classification in Functional Anatomy can take place in one of the two following epochs in relation to the date in which the student obtained approval. The students must carry out their registration until 3 days before the date of the examination.

Observations

In both regular seasons the exam will be a 50 questions multiple choice test. All examinations carried out outside the two regular seasons will be descriptive, with 10 developmental questions. There is no oral assessment in this discipline.
