A) To integrate and contextualize the knowledge of the Theory and Methodology of Training in volleyball;
B) To recognize the organizational structure of Volleyball, nationally and internationally under the Sport Participation and Sport Performance.
C) To develop the specific knowledge of the volleyball in the perspective of Sport Participation and Sport Performance.
D) To identify the long-term Volleyball player development.
E) To acquire knowledge in the planning, implementation and evaluation of training and competition.
F) To develop plans to intervene from referential frameworks considering the various components of training and competition processes.

The evaluation consists in a practical and a theoretical modules. The theoretical module is evaluated through a written test. A minimum of 9.5 values is needed for approavel in this module.
Access to practical evaluation requires 75% of attendance to classes.
This module includes the following components:
(1) Individual dossier (ID), including: critical analysis and summary of each block of contents; reading files; reports of training and matches observation; reports of seminar classes; critical analysis of pedagogical practices; critical appreciation of the curricular unit's program and model of teaching; presentation of a report concerning work developed in the scope of collaborations in research projects.
(2) Group work (GW), presented as pedagogical practice to the peers.
(3) Individual work (IW), presented as pedagogical practice to the peers.
The final grade results of 70% to the practical module and 30% to the theoretical module.
The grade in the practical module is achieved giving the weight of 25% to the Individual Report, 15% to the group work and 30% to the individual work. Minimum grade required in each component is 9.5.
Weekly summaries of the contents. Organization of the individual report throughout the year with periodic review by teacher.
Students covered by legislation: Final examination (specific). Presentation of the individual report.
To improve the grade the student must perform all the assessment components considered.
