Objectives


  • Allow to adress themes related to youth (contemporary youth) overcoming the common sense.

  • Facilitate the understanding of the trends of differentiation of various youth cultures.

  • Enable the understanding of the relation between existing differentiations and (their) demonstrations in leisure practices.

Learning outcomes and competences

When completing the Curricular Unit studants should be able to:


  • Address issues relating to youth(s) non bases ond common sense.

  • Undestand what is different and what is common in the youth cultures.

  • Realize the relationship/influence between the diferent youth cultures and the leisure practices (as well as their manifestations).

Presencial

Pre-requirements (prior knowledge) and co-requirements (common knowledge)

None in particular.

1 - Youth(s) in contemporary societies.
1.1 - Youth and it`s sociological approach.
2 - Grupal netings of youth identeties.
3 - The symbology of leisure in youth cultures.
3.1 - Cultural practices and youth cultures in different contexts.
3.1.1 - Leisure practices.
3.1.2 - Sport practices.

Eligibility for exams

Attendance of 75% of the classes.
Writing and presenting a group work.

Calculation formula of final grade

The grade of the group work and presencial participation equal to or grater than 9,5; in the case of lower grade the students must perform final exam.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

For students covered by legislation relating to special régime, special testing will be required for proffing of knowledge and skills related do the objectives and contents of the curricular unit.
