a) To implement and develop the theoretical knowledge related with sports training in practice setting of Volleyball.
b) To acquire basic skills to carry out the role as coach in real training and competition in volleyball.
c) To identify and address constraints related with the role as sports coach in real practice.
d) Developing critical reflection of the problems emerging from actual practice.
e) To develop the ability to learn independently and deliberately by the use of diverse sources of knowledge.
The students’ coaches are able:
(1) To implement, track and evaluate the coaching and competitive process.
(2) To use reflexive and adaptive strategies for the problems that may occur during the professional activity.
(3) To apply a conceptual foundation and a systematic organization of the final report about the activity developed in vocational training and a critical sustained narrative of the significant learning obtained through the professional identity construction.
The Curricular Unit of Methodology II operates under a special regime, which focuses on the vocational training, developed in sports training centers (STC). STC means a core of in-service training in the specific context of sports training, where students will be confronted with the problems raised by practice and be induced to solve them in an open perspective like the nature of the sport system preparation. The formal teaching sessions of Methodology II are occupied by thematic workshops, sessions of reflection and discussion about the vocational training participating all students and teachers; as well as by the individual meetings of teachers with each STC and the students of the APP.
Taking into account the objectives that are supported by the ability of planning, intervening and evaluate the training and competitive process, the methodologies chosen are interactive. The individual and group reflections are the priority way to increase the thinking and intervention independence of the future sport coaches’ students.

Students must attend 75% of formal training sessions planned such as; thematic seminars, brainstorming sessions and discussion of the vocational training with all students and teacher; individual meetings by STC.
Students covered by legislation relating to special arrangements of attendance will carry out special testing for proof of knowledge and skills related to the objectives and content of the discipline.

To be able to frequent the Methodology III classes the students have to finish Methodology II with a positive evaluation. To guarantee a positive evaluation the students have to get 10 values (9,5 with rounding) in a 0 to 20 scale in the prescribed evaluation components.
