Teaching methods and learning activities

In the theoretical and practical sessions, it is our intension to promote an active dialogue between teacher staff and students. The aim of this subject is to provide students with theoretical, methodological and operational tools to enable them to address a diverse and reflective way which allows them the promotion of lifelong learning. In this sense, besides expository lesson, students will have also an active participation in the development of different situations of exercise with older age groups.

Didactic teaching strategies allow the transmission of knowledge with the active participation of students, either by previous formulation of contents, and/or by its interactive, and reflective discussion with teachers, allowing a better understanding and retention of content and thus contributing to the development of knowledge about the different training methodologies. Knowledge of the different training methodologies is then achieved by the strategy followed in practical classes, whose structure is based on construction by teachers and students of practical scenarios, with consequent analysis and discussion about the adopted methodologies that are coherent with the content and group.

Therefore, teaching methodologies of the curriculum unit, and their organization, are consistent with the learning outcomes of the curriculum unit
