Objectives
1. Acquire new theoretical knowledge in the training in Athletics.
2. Develop theoretical knowledge covered in other courses directing them to the various specialties of Athletics.
3. Identify some problems inherent in the prescription of the training exercise.
4.Understand the right strategies for to develop an injury prevention and recovery system.
5.Understand the best procedures of training control and evaluation and how to prescribe the training in a better way using the results from the tests.
6. Compare methodological proposals of other sports.
7. The framework and development of the various specialties of Athletics under the motor and coordinative skills.
8. Control analysis of the training from an interdisciplinary perspective
Learning outcomes and competences
Develop and apply the concepts of the various sport science in the training Athletics, prescribing and controlling the training from planning to the structuration of the macro, meso and micro cycles.Working method

1. Phisiological bases in Athletics.
2. The development of physical capacities in athletics (strength, speed, resistance, flexibility, coordination).
3. Injury prevention and recovery.
4. Evaluation and training control in athletics:
. Physiological control
. Biochemical control
. Haematological and immunological control
5. The training in middle and long distance running
6. The training in throwers.
