Objectives

i. To improve the knowledge about the training theory applied to handball, considering different levels of handball practice and competition.
ii. To improve students’ knowledge about handball in their specific features.
iii. To develop knowledge about planning, implementation, management and evaluation of training process and competition in handball.
iv. To develop critical thinking by analyzing different training methodologies applied to handball, game models and coach interventions.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Teaching methodology: the expositive method is used as well as seminar sessions in which texts and practical cases are analyzed and discussed.

Distributed evaluation without final exam

Eligibility for exams

The student must obtain a classification higher than 9.5 values (in scale range of 0 to 20 values) in each component used for the calculation of final classification.

Individual dossier – 50%
Theoretical test – 30%
Attendance and participation during lessons – 20%
