- Programa Doutoral em Ciências do Desporto (Doctoral Program in Sport Sciences)

Doctorate in Physical Activity and Health - As part of its strategy to reorganize its educational courses:

1. In alignment with international best practices in this field; and
2. Recognizing the importance of promoting efficiency without reducing the diversity and quality of its education, FADEUP has decided to propose, in due time, to A3ES the discontinuation of its independent third-cycle offering in Physical Activity and Health, integrating it into the broader Doctoral Program in Sport Sciences, as a specific and defined area of specialization, alongside other existing ones. Accordingly, although A3ES has not yet made its final decision on this proposal, students interested in pursuing studies leading to the development of their doctoral thesis in the field of Physical Activity and Health may submit their application to the Doctoral Program in Sport Sciences, which will accommodate and support this intention.

The study cycle leading to the Doctorate degree (3rd Cycle) lasts for 6 semesters, corresponding to 180 credits (ECTS).
