He teaches/ has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at several universities in Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Chile, Spain, USA, England, Mexico and Mozambique.
He coordinated/ participated in several national and international research projects funded by national and international institutions.

A former footballer, he was a member of the technical team of several professional clubs competing in the 1st and 2nd Leagues; he also acted as a consultant for athletes, coaches, teams, and selections in various sports.
Additionally, he participated as a speaker in more than 100 training sessions for coaches, managers, and referees of various sports.
