Abstract (EN): SAC assessment tool is a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) used in the assessment of the potential difficulty of a rehabilitation with oral implants. The clinical cases can be classified as Straight-foward (low difficulty), Advanced (moderate difficulty) and Complex (high difficulty). The aim of this research was to characterize patients with indication for an implant-supported rehabilitation, by classifying the level of difficulty of the prosthetic rehabilitation. The study was conducted in the Master/Specialization Course in Oral Rehabilitation, from February to May of 2012, with a final sample of 41 individuals. To assess the difficulty level of the rehabilitation it has been used the CDSS Sac Assessment Tool, in its prosthetic perspective. The results indicated a larger number of cases of high complexity. A statistical relationship (p<0.05) was observed between the scale and the number of appointments. Within the limitations of this research, mostly concerned with the sample size, it can be concluded that the SAC Assessment Tool may contribute to standardize the diagnosis of clinical rehabilitation with dental implants, and to promote a better approach to the treatment plan.
