Abstract (EN): The cooperation between universities and industry is decisive. It influences the development of innovation, knowledge transference, and the development of countries. On the other hand, the government plays a crucial role in developing policies to finance and leverage these relationships to increase innovation and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the influence of local and regional, national, and European government support has on companies' cooperation with other firms, universities, or governments. This article uses the database of the 2014 Community Innovation Survey. The method uses logistic regression. This research contributed to realizing that public funds play a fundamental role in developing cooperation between triple helix (TH) agents; however, not all have the same level of influence. The results confirm that when companies obtain public funds to innovate, there is a significant impact on TH intervening agents' cooperation. The central government and the European Union funds are the most significant in that cooperation process.
