Abstract (EN): Some regulations and fundamental aspects for the design of helicoid straps for telecommunications towers are presented and minimally summarized, as referred in integral form in the integrated master of science thesis of the first co-author. The software Ansys Fluent was used to analyze the influence of a methodology of applying helix straps to a tubular telecommunications tower, for suppression of the harmful effect of the structural vibrations due to vortex shedding.
