Abstract (EN): Although Physical Therapists (PTs) have extensive knowledge about body mechanisms and injury prevention, Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMD) are quite common among this population. The objective of this paper is to contribute with a systematic review on prevalence, characteristics and impacts of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMDs) among Physical Therapists (PTs), investigate risk factors and identify preventive strategies used by PTs. PRISMA was used to create this paper and present the results. The search included 22 Scientific Journal editors and 26 Database surveyed between October 2013 and January 2014. This paper includes 10 articles, from 9 different countries, written after 2000, in English language, and having only physical therapists as target. Previous studies are not randomized; difficulty in translating variables. Most of the results are inconclusive. More studies are needed to understand association between age, working venues, areas of specialty, working hours and number patients/day with the prevalence of WRMDs. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
