Abstract (EN): An equilibrium between the heat generated inside the FZG gearbox [1] and the heat dissipated to the environment is reached after some time of continuous operation, the oil temperature remaining practically constant, some degrees above the room temperature [2]. Such surplus temperature, the Stabilization Temperature, was measured along several gear tests using helical low-loss [3] steel gears and two lubricant types. Studied variables are: 1) gear geometry - three different low-loss gears were tested; 2) lubricants - two different lubricants were used, and tests were repeated with two levels of oil inside the gearbox; 3) operating conditions - torque and velocity varied separately during each test, reaching 323 Nm and 2000 rpm, respectively. The contribution of these variables to the operating temperature of the FZG gearbox is discussed, and a correlation of the results is shown.
