Resumo (PT): Pretendeu-se com este trabalho rever, agora no contexto português, alguns aspectos psicométricos das escalas propostas para o MAACL-R, bem assim como confirmar ou infirmar a estrutura originalmente proposta. O pressuposto que se tomou como certo é o de que há certas peculiaridades linguísticas e especificidades culturais com que se defronta sistematicamente o investigador que pretende traduzir e adaptar um instrumento quando o intenta utilizar num contexto linguístico e/ou cultural diferente daquele em que foi desenvolvido. À semelhança dos anteriores, o estudo também veio reforçar a convicção de que têm razão de ser as cinco escalas propostas no contexto de duas grandes dimensões, embora devam ser pontualmente reformuladas no contexto português dadas as implicações significativas da conotação de alguns itens. Neste contexto destacam-se desde logo as migrações transculturais dos afectos ligados a agressividade e extravagância num sentido, e à crítica por outro. Sugere-se além disso uma achega para o significado dos factores em conformidade com a forma de traço, mantendo porém a equivalência à de estado.

Abstract (EN): Psychopathology and Mental Health in the Mood Structure: retreat, dependence and strength as MAACL measurements The goal of this study was to review for the Portuguese context some of the psychometric properties concerning the MAACL scales as well as to confirm the structure originally proposed. What we had in mind was the implications of some linguistic peculiarities and cultural idiosyncrasies that always come up when someone intends to use an instrument such as this in a different context from the one where it was conceived. The study reinforces the conviction that the five scales proposed in the context of two broader dimensions do have reason to exist, although needing some minor changes due to different semantic implications. One emphasis is made in the transcultural migration of aggressive and wild, in one hand, and critical in the other. The author also suggests some aspects that may spill some light over the meaning of the mood clusters as detached from the structure of the trait form, thought keeping in mind the comparability with the scales of the state form.
