7ª Edição da Conferência CITTA | CITTA 7th Annual Conference

O CITTA - Centro de Investigação do Território, Transportes e Ambiente, gostaria de convidá-lo para a 7ª edição da nossa conferência anual na área do planeamento, este ano dedicada ao tema Bridging the implementation gap of Accessibility Instruments and Planning Support Systems, e que terá lugar na Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto no dia 24 de Outubro de 2014. Apesar da investigação na área do planeamento evidenciar uma proliferação dos instrumentos de apoio ao planeamento, poucos têm sido usados na prática profissional. Esta conferência pretende debater as razões por detrás desta falha na implementação, comum a um grande número de PSS. Esta conferência anual do CITTA será realizada em conjunto com o segundo dia da conferência final da ação COST TU1002 sobre 'Instrumentos de Acessibilidade para a Prática do Planeamento na Europa' (realizada nos dias 23 e 24 de Outubro). Enquanto a conferência final da ação COST TU1002 pretende discutir os principais resultados e conclusões da sua investigação focada nos instrumentos de acessibilidade na prática do planeamento, a conferência do CITTA irá abrir o debate para outros instrumentos de apoio ao planeamento não baseados na acessibilidade, nomeadamente instrumentos de apoio ao planeamento ambiental, urbano e de transportes. A discussão será estimulada por oradores como Marco te Brömmelstroet (Universidade de Amesterdão), Paulo Pinho (Universidade do Porto) e Stan Geertman (Universidade de Utrecht) (a confirmar). A Comissão de Organização deste evento gostaria de convidá-lo a partilhar a sua investigação connosco, submetendo um resumo para uma das seguintes sessões paralelas: Sessão B1. Urban and Environmental Planning Support Systems Sessão B2. Transport Planning Support Systems Caso a pesquisa se foque em instrumentos de apoio ao planeamento baseado em medidas de acessibilidade, considere a submissão do resumo para uma das sessões do evento conjunto: Sessão A1. Accessibility Instruments in Planning Practice Sessão A2. Measuring Accessibility (Special Session of NECTAR C6) Sessão A3. Accessibility Planning Nota: Os participantes podem inscrever-se no evento conjunto (23 e 24 de Outubro), ou apenas para a conferência do CITTA no segundo dia. Só terão acesso às tracks A1, A2 e A3 os autores que se inscrevam para o evento conjunto. À semelhança de edições anteriores, todos os artigos serão publicados no livro de atas. Os melhores artigos da conferência serão selecionados para uma edição especial numa revista internacional de referência. Saiba mais sobre os nossos serviços no site dos SICC. ::::::::::::::::::: The CITTA Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment, would like to invite you to the 7th edition of our annual conference on planning research dedicated to the theme Bridging the implementation gap of Accessibility Instruments and Planning Support Systems, held at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto University on the 24th of October, 2014. Although planning research has witnessed a significant proliferation of Planning Support Systems (PSS), very few have actually been used in practice so far. This conference aims to debate the reasons behind this implementation gap, common to a wide range of PSS. This year's CITTA conference will be joined with the second day of the Final Conference of the COST Action TU1002 on "Accessibility Instruments for Planning Practice in Europe" (held on the 23rd and 24th of October). While the final conference of the COST Action TU1002 aims to discuss the main findings and outcomes of the research on accessibility-based PSS in planning practice, the CITTA conference will open the debate to other (non-accessibility-based) PSS, covering environment, urban and transport PSS. The discussions will be stimulated by keynote speeches from Marco te Brömmelstroet (University of Amsterdam), Paulo Pinho (University of Porto) and Stan Geertman (Utrecht University) (to be confirmed). The Organizing Committee of this event would like to invite you to share your research with us, submitting an abstract to one of the following tracks: Track B1. Urban and Environmental Planning Support Systems Track B2. Transport Planning Support Systems If your research focuses on accessibility-based planning support systems, please consider submitting your abstract to one of the tracks of the joint conference: Track A1. Accessibility Instruments in Planning Practice Track A2. Measuring Accessibility (Special Session of NECTAR C6) Track A3. Accessibility Planning Note: Participants may choose to register for the full joint event (23rd and 24th October) or only for the CITTA conference on the second day. Tracks A1, A2 and A3 are limited to authors registering for the full joint event. Similarly to previous editions, all conference papers will be published in the book of proceedings. The best papers of the conference will be invited for special issues of leading international journals. Abstract submission should be done by e-mail to citta@fe.up.pt using the attached template.
