Exposição Cidades do Mundo | Aleksejs Naumovs e Kristaps Zariņ¨

A exposição "Cidades do Mundo" dos autores Aleksejs Naumovs e Kristaps Zariņ¨, Letãs, estará patente no Museu da Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, com inauguração no dia 8 de Maio de 2015 às 17h, encerrando a 22 do mesmo mês. Para Aleksejs Naumovs e Kristaps Zariņ¨, o exercício da pintura e o ambiente influenciam de modo determinante as suas obras. Trabalham em conjunto, cooperativamente, por forma a encontrarem novas possibilidades de interpretação artística. Mesmo que as suas pintura sejam feitas a tempos diferentes, e em diferentes contextos, fazem parte de um único projeto, e não se distanciam nos seus propósitos e intenções. O conjunto de obras em exposição é constantemente complementada pelo exercício da pintura em novas cidades e locais. Os trabalhos em exposição são o reflexo das impressões que os autores adquirem em urbes mundiais, e capitais europeias. O projeto artístico "World Cities. Live Painting", já foi apresentado na Índia, EUA, Hongkong, etc. - For Aleksejs Naumovs e Kristaps Zariņ¨, the process of painting and the surrounding environment have an important impact on their work. They are happy to continue their cooperation and to find new possibilities for their creative work. Even though their paintings are made at different times and in varying contexts, it feels like part of a common project, and both of them readily return to it, always creating something new. The exhibition is constantly supplemented by painting new cities and sites. The works exhibited at the exhibition reflect the impressions which have been gained at the world metropoles and culturally rich European cities. The art project "World Cities. Live Painting" has been showcased in many countries and places - India, USA, Hongkong, etc. // Aleksejs Naumovs (1955-) Graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of Monumental Painting (1980). Professor, rector of the Art Academy of Latvia since 2007. The most remarkable landscapist and contemporary plain-air artist in Latvia, held more than 60 solo exhibitions, participating in different exhibitions, symposiums and art projects. The initiator, leader, exchange program organizer and curator for collaborative art projects in Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Germany, Japan, Austria, Russia, USA and many others. Kristaps Zarins (1962-) Graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of Painting (1986). Professor, vice-rector in administrative and creative work at the Art academy of Latvia since 2007. Taking active part in art associations and organizations, held many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Latvia and many other countries, while promoting the creative activities of students and developing international contacts and cooperation with different art institutions.
