Completing a degree at the U.Porto is a sign of prestige which we hope a student carries throughout his/her lifetime. For this purpose the U.Porto is committed to keeping a close connection with its former students. They are perceived as ambassadors for the University and are an essential link to civil society.
In fact, completing a degree is merely another step in a path in which the University is constantly present. The U.Porto accompanies the professional progress of its graduates by promoting opportunities for employment, offering training and research and by regularly assessing employability.
In order to strengthen this bond, the U.Porto has created several means of information for former students, including a dedicated online portal, a weekly newsletter and the “Campus U.Porto” magazine. Furthermore, several events often welcome multiple generations of students back “home” to their University. The U.Porto also uses Linkedin digital platform for the strengthening of relations of former students and the establishment of professional networks.
Former U.Porto students also benefit from special discounts on lifelong learning and the U.Porto’s sports and cultural activities.
But to truly enjoy the full potential of belonging to the community U.Porto ALUMNI, the former student must have his/her data updated in the Database of U.Porto ALUMNI.
