Student of Mechanical Engineering at U.Porto Faculty of Engineering (FEUP)

The Special Contest for Graduates of Technological Specialisation Courses is for applicants who have a technological specialisation degree validated by the U.Porto schools/faculties that hold the contest.

Who can apply?

This special contest applies to students who  cumulatively: 

  • • Have a technological specialisation degree validated by the U.Porto school/faculty they intend to apply for;
  • • Have taken the entrance exams (national secondary school exams) required by the cycles of study they intend to apply for (after the 2015-2016 school year);
  • • Satisfy the prerequisites, when required by the desired course [see  Prerequisits]

To what courses?

For the 2021/2022 academic year, the U.Porto has 16 vacancies in 1st cycle (bachelors degree) and integrated masters courses available for applicants of the Special Contest for Graduates of Technological Specialisation Courses. The remaining courses do not offer vacancies for this contest.

How to apply?

The application to the Special Contest for Graduates of Technological Specialisation Courses must be made with the U.Porto school/faculty that you wish to enter. Each school/faculty is responsible for managing the admissions to their courses, according to the terms specified in the legislation, establishing, for example, the number of vacancies available for each of the desired courses and the respective criteria for placement.

Applicants will be placed based on criteria such as the compatibility of their curriculum with the course of study they wish to pursue, an assessment of their professional curriculum and an evaluation – by means of an interview – of their behavioural and interpersonal abilities.

Tuition fees

Students who enter the U.Porto through the Special Contest for Graduates of Technological Specialisation Courses are covered by the general tuition fees regime of the U.Porto.
