A Few Posthumous Homage Events

2008 A tribute paid to the artist, to inaugurate the sculpture "King Fernando and Queen Leonor Teles", by Irene Vilar, placed in the garden facing the Monastery of Leça do Balio, on 15 December, The ceremony, conducted by the Mayor of Matosinhos, Guilherme Pinto, consisted of a mass presided by the Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon, D. Carlos Azevedo, and the edition of a brochure on the life and work of the sculptress.

  • Commander of the Order of Prince Henry, 1982;
  • Gold Merit Medal, by the City Council of Porto;
  • Citizen of the Year 1989/90, by the Lyon's Club of Matosinhos;
  • Gold Merit Medal, by the City Council of Matosinhos;
