Summary:

The main goal of this project is the studying the possibility of a partial elimination of the trafic in the Historical Center of the Oporto, nominated in the Aliados Avenue and surrounding zone (in a ray of about 1 km), and consequent impact in a more extensive area.
For such, it will be proceeded the construction of a trafic simulation model for the area in question, including the automobile trafic and with special attention to the pedonal trafic.

Results:

In order to validate our project we are looking foward to being able to prove that the pedestrian traffic is a lot more proeminent than the other forms of traffic. In that way, we will be able to remove some of that traffic away from the Historycal Center, as we first intended.
