Andreia has a professional background in Human Resources, People Development, and Organizational Development. She holds both a degree and a master’s degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. She completed her doctoral degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto, with the thesis titled “Spirituality and Self-Transcendence in Organizational Leaders”.
She has previous experience as a Human Resources Manager in the tourism, automotive, and manufacturing sectors, where she was involved in the start-up, development, and optimization of human resources departments. In addition, she has worked as a consultant on human resources development projects, career management missions, and has facilitated executive coaching programs. She currently works in Human Resources Services at the University of Porto, within the Performance Appraisal, Training, and Well-Being Unit.
Andreia has published in peer-reviewed journals, and her research interests include work meanings and meaningful work, workplace spirituality, leader development, organizational development, learning organizations, and social innovation.
