Details
Summary: This project intention is the development of an instrumentation system for the relevant electric variables in the management of electric power systems.
The system includes the entire instrumentation chain, measurement of electric values - voltages and currents, signal conditioning, analog to digital conversion, digital processing and communication interface.
This project intention is the investigation and development of hardware and software platforms according to international requirements and standards of the electric sector.
The project involves the development of prototypes of electronic modules based on Digital Signal Processors (DSP) for applications in electric power systems, namely Measurement Equipments, Fault Detectors, Remote Terminal Units, Digital Protection Relays and Power Quality Meters.
The project involves the development of hardware and software, and we intend to obtain prototypes of modules with different specifications, either to operate as autonomous equipments or to operate integrated in other equipments
As results of the project, we will develop prototypes of autonomous equipments: Fault Detector, Measurement Equipment and Power Quality Meter, and prototypes of analogue aquisition modules capable of being integrated in equipmens made by EFACEC: Remote Terminal Units, Control Systems for Electric Substations and Digital Protection Relays.
