This project is the formalization of the Portuguese Participation on the European Graduate Survey, under the European Graduate Initiative.
The main objective of this project is to collect a dataset on graduates of the Portuguese Higher Education System regarding their labour
market trajectories, perceptions regarding their degree, skills self-assessment, job satisfaction, as well as on their civic engagement and other societal aspects. This dataset will cater for 1) Comparability with other European Higher Education Systems, and 2) Representativeness of the Portuguese Higher Education system through stratified sampling.
As this is the first national, centralized attempt for Portugal, the objective is also to build a structure that allows the repetition of such data
collection every four years, so that the data covers the longitudinal aspect of Higher Education graduates. This involves the capacitation of
Higher Education Institutions, and the need to overcome some limitations regarding GDPR needed to obtain information from
administrative data for future data collections. Therefore, this project is expected to have a long-term impact in graduate data collection in
Portugal. |
