Description:	Scientific-Pedagogical Coordination: Margarida Rangel , Conceição Nogueira, Tiago Neves . The Postgraduate Studies Department (SPG) is responsible for the technical and scientific management and coordination of postgraduate training. The SPG is coordinated by PhD programme Directors appointed by the Executive Board, after consulting the Scientific Council. The SPG is responsible for: Organising and supporting postgraduate programmes, particularly PhDs and master's degrees; Organising and supporting postgraduate programmes proposed by the groups, in collaboration with universities in other countries; Promote the articulation of postgraduate programmes with research activities; Managing the use and maintenance of postgraduate rooms; Co-ordinating, in conjunction with those responsible for postgraduate programmes, the preparation of proposals for new courses or the adaptation of existing ones.
