Mission: | The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Lab is a joint venture between the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP) and the School of Health - Polytechnic of Porto (ESS-PP). It was approved by both scientific councils on December 2008 and it is located at FPCEUP, Porto, Portugal. The co-ordination is shared by António José Marques (ESS-PP) and Cristina Queirós (FPCEUP). The Laboratory’s mission is the promotion of functioning, social insertion and quality of life of people with psychiatric disabilities or in other situations of social segregation. It's core competencies encompass research, along with intervention, and continuing education. All activities are based on the most recent values and principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, assuming that all people with psychiatric disabilities should accede to a lifestyle with opportunities, aims and ambitions similar to any other citizen.
