Objectives

Mastering the technique of interpretation and analysis of results obtained from the Rorschach test protocols - Comprehensive System.
Demonstrate the mastering the methodologies of administration and coding of responses as well the analysis of results.
Integrate the Rorschach results in a psychological assessment process, with other test results.

Learning outcomes and competences

Skills to administer, score and interpret protocols of the Rorschach Test..

Analyze and integrate results consistently to achieve understanding psychological functioning of the individual assessed.

Pre-requirements (prior knowledge) and co-requirements (common knowledge)

To attend this UC, it is recommended to have knowledge about the Rorschach Test administration, the coding of answers and the calculation of the structural summary.

Program

The methodology for analyzing the results of the Rorschach Test (Comprehensive System) with the use of practical exercises:
- Clusters of variables;
- Sorting clusters and organizing steps.
- The method of progressive interpretation from the most important variables for each cluster;
- Conceptualization and integration of results with information from other sources;
- Training of protocols interpretation. with mid and high level difficulty.
Integration of the results of a Rorschach test psychological assessment conducted with different methodologies.
- Skills supervision on administration, coding and interpretation through the analysis of 5 protocols collected, coded and interpreted by each student.
The contents focus on the interpretation and analysis of the results of the Rorschach Test - Comprehensive System. It is based on the bibliographic production of John Exner, Jr. on this topic and the Rorschach normative study results in the Portuguese population.

Eligibility for exams

Attendance of 75% courses.
Administration, scoring and interpretation of 5 Rorschach protocols. All students must obtain a minimum value of 8.5/20 for each protocol and the average of all protocols must be at least 10/20.

Calculation formula of final grade

Evaluation distributed throughout the semester through the 5 protocols collected and analyzed by students: 100%.
The student must obtain a minimum value of 8.5 (rating 0-20). The average results of all protocols should be at least, 10 values.

Examinations or Special Assignments

Collection, codification and interpretation of 5 Rorschach protocols.

Classification improvement

The improvement of the distributed classification is possible, only once, by taking an exam until the appeal period of the academic year following the one in which approval was obtained, which consists of a case study through the interpretation of a Rorschach protocol with the integration of a life story, provided by the teacher.
