Objectives
To develop the capacity to reflect and to do research on professional practice in the domain of Child Rights Protection (CRP)

- To have contact with the research process in CRP
- To define the concept of CRP considering the practice of different professionals
- To identify research needs felt by professionals working in CRP
- To elaborate a research plan that allows to answer questions of professional practice in CRP

Teaching methods and learning activities
Presentation by the teacher; small group work; role play of research techniques application; literature research; fieldwork; presentation and discussion in a large group.
Small group work allows the exploration of the CRP problem in diverse contexts. The presentation of the project developed in small groups to the large group provides the knowledge and the discussion of the CRP problem from different perspectives.

Eligibility for exams
Students should present a portfolio of the various products elaborated during the semester, including the interview script, the transcription of the interview(s), the content analysis and its coding manual, the definition of the research problem, and the research plan.
The project is developed individually or in a small group.
To be approved the student must attend classes (presence in ¾ of the classes)
Calculation formula of final grade
The student's classification corresponds to the grade obtained in the portfolio (100%).
It is required the minimum classification of 10 (on a scale from 0 to 20).
Examinations or Special Assignments
Any situation that involves a special assessment must be presented by the students and analyzed by the teacher at the beginning of the semester.
Classification improvement
Considering the characteristics of evaluation and occupation of this course unit, the improvement of the classification is not contemplated.
